Looks: 
An average looking young teenager, Uratan holds some extra weight around his midsection from a lack of motivation. However his arms and legs are both well muscled for someone his age thanks to his work around the house. Because of this work his hands are covered in various scars and rough to the touch. He keeps his hair short and that's about it, not caring about any styles.

Battle Style: Uratan prefers to wear an opponent out through either superior speed or defense, whichever works best for the situation, and strike a finishing blow when an opening is given. Because of this he saves his strongest hitting moves for just such an opportunity.
Personality: Uratan, as seen from a strangers point of view, is a very quiet, friendly person who stands out about as well as a blade of grass in a wheat field. He is kind and considerate, but quickly moves on and out of their minds.
To a friend however, he can be one of the loudest, arrogant, sarcastic, fun-loving and crude people they will have met. More importantly, they would feel as though they were family and the mutual trust Uratan and his friends would share rivals that of siblings.

History: Born in Icirrus city of Unova as the oldest child to Marsha and Jamar Yensa, Uratan grew up with few cares in the world that weren't related to his own family. They lived a quiet life on the outskirts of the small city and made their living working the land as agricultural farmers with the help of a few Drillbur to till the fields and a large, fat Bouffalant named Stu to pull the cart full of seeds once they were done tilling. As such, this meant Uratan had his fair share of chores to aid the family, and though he did them without question, he made sure to get them done quickly so he could get back to his own interests of writing and watching TV. This caused him to get in trouble for shoddy work, but whatever his parents attempted the behavior was set in stone.
It was said he was an oldest child, and his sister came into the family when he was three. They were close, but she had far more outgoing interests and from the time she was old enough for school she was out and about with various friends whenever possible. Uratan on the other hand, kept to himself save for a couple friends from school, but even they couldn't get him out of the house after the schoolbell rang.
Growing worried, his parents pushed him to find interests other than writing, and though it took some time he began to spend more time with the few pokemon they had to help with the farm. He was particularly fond of a Drillbur named Moe who happily used his strong claws to till the fields. They spent their chores together helping on the farm, and once the chores were over Moe followed, and became something of a house pet for the Yensa family.
Approaching Uratan's sixteenth birthday, his parents came up with an idea to help their son decide for something to do with his life, tired of him simply writing to himself and wasting away on their farm. On that day, they gifted him a group of 5 pokeballs, and one extra already activated, as well as his own pokedex and various other supplies for the road. A bit reluctant at first, a quick nudge and punch from Moe was all it took for him to readily thank his parents, and start his preparations for the journey to the outside world. Having saved up money for this event, they had arranged for his trip to the region of Sennta allowing him to begin his journey fresh, and also subtly making sure he doesn't back down as easily as they thought he might.
